Back in the mid 80's I bought Dan Reeder's book 'The Simple Screamer', a guide on how to create one of his 'simple screamers'. I took the time to make all the leg, arm, hand, feet, head, body parts and extra balls of various sizes. They were then tucked away in a box for a good twenty years! There is a sizable investment of time (mother's know this) in the creation of a new life, so I hung onto them. Then is 2006 after a number of moves the pieces were assembled and 'Sammy' was 'born'! He has been by my side ever since through the creation of Trevor's Rat, a Mini Screamer, Zen Stan, Emily, 'Peaches' a silly Bird and a piece that was going to be Paul Bunyon but became a Ghoul, which later had it's head removed, which then became the bust of the 'Son of Frankenstein' (the body is tucked away, hmm...I'm thinking maybe the Headless Horseman)!
